GENERAL QUESTIONS…

When and how did Women Revealed start?

Please visit the About Us page for some information.

Do I need to attend a weekend to be involved in Women Revealed?

You do not need to attend a weekend first. We offer workshops and gold groups that are open to anyone, and these stand independently to weekend experiences.

Are there age restrictions for Women Revealed opportunities?

Women are welcome from 18 to 80+. Beautiful insights and learning can come from sharing a multi-generational experience.

My friend/therapist said I should attend. Are they right? Are Women Revealed experiences “therapy”?

Weekends, Gold Groups and Workshops are not therapy and are not a replacement for therapy, although many women feel therapeutic benefit from attending. They are about self-discovery, tool building, and empowerment through support. You are the only person who knows if you should attend. Please speak with the person referring you and ask them why they think Women Revealed is a good fit for you.

I’m worried about confidentiality. Is my participation considered confidential?

Confidentiality is a critical component to any Women Revealed opportunity. We ask each participant and staff member to hold everything that is spoken or experienced by another woman in confidence.

What if I don’t know anyone who’s on the weekend or in my group?

We structure our groups to welcome every woman and intentionally spend time getting to know each other. Many women prefer to be in a group where they were previously unknown to any other woman.

Are you affiliated with any specific religion?

Women Revealed is a faith-based organization that aligns with the teachings of Christ. Women of any faith tradition or none at all, are welcomed to attend. The goal of the organization is to provide an environment of safety in which a woman can find unconditional acceptance and love in which to find her own path of healing.

Are scholarships available?

Women Revealed has donors who specifically give for women in financial need. Please ask for what you need and contact us to apply for scholarship.

If I register and I am not able to attend, can I get a refund?

Yes, you can decide if you receive a full refund or apply that money toward your next registration.

How can I contribute as staff?

There are staffing opportunities for any woman who has completed the Release Your Burden weekend. Staffing offers women a chance to continue their personal growth as they support other women in their learning. It’s also an opportunity to connect with the community, receive support, and develop skills. Some women find staffing just as powerful as their initial weekend. Register here for RYB staffing.

Other weekends, workshops and gold groups are staffed by specifically trained leaders. To find out more about training please contact us.

WEEKEND QUESTIONS - The “Before”

What are we going to do this weekend?

Each of our weekend experiences is different. They all include time spent in small groups, large groups, personal reflection, conversation, and opportunity to experience what you are learning at a deep level. You will have choice throughout the weekend and you will be led by highly trained facilitators and surrounded by staff who have previously participated in that specific weekend experience.

Can I attend with other people I know?

Some women have attended with a family member or close friend and some have chosen to attend separately. When the weekend is large enough to have multiple small groups we try to put family/close friends in separate groups to allow each woman freedom to claim their own experience. When it is a smaller weekend, there is conversation with the women involved about what is going to be best for them.

How much does the weekend cost and what does it cover?

The all inclusive weekend costs around $750 (sometimes varies by location) with a $175 deposit to reserve your spot. The balance may be paid either in full or with a 2-3 month auto-draft installment plan. There is also a discounted price if you pay your entire registration fee upfront. Your room, board, supplies, and facilitation are included from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon.

I want to attend a weekend but cannot afford it. Do you offer any financial assistance?

There is some financial assistance available for those that need it. If you want to discuss these possibilities, contact us and we will work with you.

WEEKEND QUESTIONS - The “During” and “After”

How long is the weekend and can I arrive late and leave early?

The weekend involves continuous programming that builds upon itself from 6pm Friday, concluding around 3pm Sunday afternoon. We recommend being present for the entirety of this time. We do make exceptions for late arrival or early leave, though please contact us in advance if you would need to make such arrangements.

Do I have to stay onsite if I live nearby?

The experience is designed to be a step away from everyday life and the ordinary things we experience on a day-to-day basis. This requires a break from usual obligations and responsibilities. Attending one of our weekend experiences means you commit to staying onsite for the duration of the weekend, except in the case of an unforeseen emergency.

Will I have my own room or be sharing with others?

Sleeping accommodations depend on the host facility, and on most weekends women share a room with at least one other woman. Feel free to discuss your concerns and needs when you register.

How is food provided during the weekend?

Light snacks and beverages will be available Friday and throughout the weekend, as well as full meals on Saturday and Sunday. If you have dietary restrictions, many food accommodations can be met. Please make any notes on your registration form so that we may contact you ahead of time regarding specific food needs.

What should I wear?

We suggest dressing for comfort. We request that anything with an obvious logo or brand is left at home.

What happens after the weekend?

Each woman is given contact information for the other participants and staff to stay connected, and there is conversation on Sunday about next steps.
